Since we have become so dependent on Google for every day life, from finding phone numbers, checking the weather or for reviews on the latest movies, it comes as no surprise that finding what we need has become extremely difficult when results for certain key words or phrases provide extremely poor results..
For example……
Working in the coffee industry we are always looking to find information about new coffee machines, grinders and so on, however finding reviews can be difficult if you dont know where to look. For instance, try the search term “Coffee Machine Reviews” and you will understand what i am getting at.
Now understandably it is almost impossible for Google to ensure that the results for every keyword are appropriate, even more so when you consider the sheer number of searchable terms. In response to this Google has made some interesting efforts by introducing additional seach options which allow you to search by date, by the type of results(forum, video & reviews). Additionally when you are logged into your Google account you can adjust the results for specific search terms to suit you, removing ones you believe are inappropriate or inaccurate. Obviously Google plans to use the changes made by individuals into their algorithm sooner or later, but the important thing is that they are continuing to improve their results despite the lack of competition.
